He hosts the Emmy-nominated PBS show Legacy List with Matt Paxton, after having been featured on A&E’s Hoarders for twelve years. He appears regularly as a public speaker, television guest and radio personality helping families find the upside of downsizing. He is the author of Keep the Memories, Lose the Stuff (Penguin Random House). He lives in Atlanta, GA with his partner and seven kids. We had the chance to meet up with Matt and hear a little bit more about how he Finds his Fire through helping people.

1. Tell us a little bit about how you Find Your Fire?

I find my fire every day. I actually LOVE my job. I get paid to help people, which is pretty awesome. It’s easy to find my fire now, but the first 20 years, you have to ignore everyone and just do what you truly believe is right. Eventually everyone else starts to believe it too.

2. What is your favorite StillFire beer and why?

My favorite StillFire beer is the sour apple gummy bear. It’s a light beer that drinks super easy, but has alot of taste. It’s good in the winter or summer. Love it.

3. Any fun facts people might not know about you?

The most interesting fact I have is that I have 7 children. No one ever asks anything else after they hear that. I love stand up paddle boarding. I met my partner, Zoe Kim, after reading her book on minimalism.
