This DOUBLE IPA is a tribute to our 2020 Great American Beer Fest medal-winning brewmaster, Phil Farrell. Clocking in at a big 9.1% with 95 IBUs, our ode to controlled excess is a blend of 5 old -school Pacific NW hops (Centennial, Columbus, Simcoe, Tomahawk, and Zeus) that combine in an explosion of pine resin, grapefruit and woodiness. It is unapologetically bitter (unlike Phil) with a touch of caramel malt to remind you that someone will smack you if all you do is enjoy the aroma rather than drink. We double dry hopped this incredible beer to ensure the aroma and flavor never quit.
