In the tradition of the famous Belgian monasteries, we picked our friend Stan’s mind and with his help crafted a delicious Strong Dark Ale. Selecting the finest ingredients, the result is a wonderful marriage of dark fruit, ripe cherries and plums along with spicy alcohol and white pepper nuances. We could have stopped there however we wouldn’t be Stillfire if we did. We have been released from our vow of silence by Brother Stan so we can tell you we finished the beer with a hop so new it doesn’t have a name yet. When used at the end of the brew, this hop actually adds a little vanilla and bourbon oak character without adding hot alcohol or wood tannins that sometime make a beer too harsh or cover up other delicate characteristics. We have faith that you will find our latest creation absolutely heavenly.
