COLLABORATIONS MAKE BEAUTIFUL MUSIC AND BEER

Luke Latimer is to music as StillFire is to beer. Luke enjoys the alternative edge bands brought to rock n roll in the 90s. He’s played the StillFire taproom many times adding his take on everyone’s favorite songs. Our discussions of music and beer the past few years led to the honor of brewing a beer for the release of his self-titled debut album. It wouldn’t be Honeyknife Lager if we didn’t invite Luke to sit in on a brewing session and collaborate with us. His band has locally sourced musicians so of course StillFire went with locally sourced honey. We used classic German Pilsner malt from Bamburg to give this beer a beautiful golden color and a hint of honey aroma. We didn’t want to play the same old tune when it came to hops so we used a newer hop Astra that imparts some peach and melon character but more importantly it ends up in a three-part harmony with the fresh aromatic honey. Collaborations make beautiful music (and beer). Come out and drink Honeyknife Lager with us this Friday night at the album and beer release party. Local Alternative Rock meets Local Alternative Beer in the best way possible.
