From Brew Master Phil Farrell: “I graduated from a small High School one mile north of NYC. There were about 200 students in each graduating class. To this day the 100+ year old school has several gymnasiums but has never had a pool. Imagine my surprise this summer when I saw a much more recent graduate of my school representing the USA in Paris as an Olympic swimmer. Best of all, she didn’t just stamp her passport, in fact she killed it. She returned home with 2 Gold and 2 Silver medals as well as a new American record in the breaststroke. To honor such an extraordinary achievement, we contacted Alternative Medicine Brewing in NY, a short swim from our school, to brew a Parisian Lager. Parisian Gold pours clear with a deep golden color and a tall white head. European malt, hops, and yeast ensures the beer finishes dry and crisp, with a clean finish. The secret ingredient is the Barbe Rouge hop from the Alsace region of France. It adds a nuance of ripe fruit, strawberry and even a note of raspberry.
