SUWANEE CLAUS – THE BEST BEER IN GEORGIA WINNER
Suwanee Claus won Best Beer in Georgia at the 2024 Suwanee Beer Fest. This amazing beer was also named Best Strong Beer in Georgia securing the top spot overall among 79 entries from Georgia Breweries at the 2023 Strong Beer Fest.
A TRIBUTE TO SAINT NICHOLAS DAY
When we started StillFire Brewing our goal was to be both innovative as well as honor the best of brewing traditions. The Georgia mountains aren’t the Alps however it gave us an idea for our own Christmas Tradition. As a nod to the strongest lager in the world we would brew our own tribute each year on Saint Nicholas Day Dec 6th. This is the Inaugural Suwanee Claus. It was brewed last Dec 6th carefully fermented then lagered aged and bottled for a year before we release it (and brew next year’s batch) on Dec 6th. The strength of the beer creates complex aromas and flavors of raisin, plum, stone fruit, caramel and nuts while still being creamy on the palate. It pairs well with any dessert especially chocolates or creamy treats. Best of all it will age gracefully for years in a cool cellar or refrigerator.
