From the Pawnee Harvest Festival to the Li’l Sebastian Memorial, no detail is too small. No preparation is necessary. Actually, some preparation would be good.
You know what, just show up and give it everything you’ve got. Government assistance will not be provided. First place gets the glory. Everyone gets the waffles (metaphorically). Meat sweats optional, but encouraged.
